Minecraft Server Guide

Java & Bedrock setup with Pterodactyl

1

Access the Pterodactyl panel

Your panel is available at panel.lastrahost.com. Log in with the credentials from your welcome email. Click your server to open the console.

2

Choose a server type

Go to the Startup tab and select your server JAR: Vanilla, Paper, Spigot, Forge, Fabric, or BungeeCord. For modpacks, use the one-click installer in the Mods tab.

3

Configure server.properties

Edit server.properties via the file manager to set your max players, difficulty, world seed, and whitelist. Save and restart.

max-players=20
difficulty=normal
online-mode=true
4

Install plugins (Paper/Spigot)

Upload .jar files to /plugins/ via the file manager or SFTP, then restart the server. Use the console to manage plugins with /pl.

5

Set up scheduled backups

Navigate to Schedules in Pterodactyl and create a daily backup job. Backups are stored for 7 days and can be downloaded or restored instantly.

6

Invite your players

Connect to your server at YOUR_IP:25565 first, then share the address with your community or list it on a public server directory for visibility.
